Chidinma Okeke's leaked sex tape tops Google search (Photos)

Dethroned Miss Anambra, Chidinma Okeke, has been a top trending issue on Google search this week, for a leaked sex video that went viral, Daily Trust reports
According to a statement by Mr Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, Google’s Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Anglophone West Africa, the issue was trending from Oct. 19 to Oct. 26.

Kola-Ogunlade said that in the entertainment industry, the internet showed how a #Beauty Queen Became a Hashtag.

“The viral video unveiled a beauty queen’s sexual preference and drew people’s attention.

The beauty queen went on her social media pages to deny the video.

She explained that her face was superimposed on an existing picture,’’ he said, adding that the beauty queen said it was an attempt by hoodlums to blackmail her.
Also top on Google search this week was the coronation ceremony of the newly-crowned Oba of Benin, Kola-Ogunlade said.

Long Live the King! After several weeks of traditional rites, Eheneden Erediauwa was finally crowned as the 39th Oba of Benin, he said.

The Google manager said that the crowned head would now be called Oba Ewuare II after the famous Benin ancestor who was credited with many significant legacies in Benin.

He said that the Benin ancestor was widely claimed to be the greatest king of the Benin Empire. Oba Ghato Kpere… Ise!

WizKid (Starboy) , in his usual tradition, raised the bar on Google search as he carted away three major awards at the recently concluded 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards, popularly known as MAMA.

“The starboy was named the Artist of the Year, Best Male and Best Collaboration Awards win with Dj Maphorsia and Dj Buckz,’’ the Google manager said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Google Trends launched in May 2006, allows one to see how popular, search terms and its demography have been over time on Google.

It's over...Mariah Carey's billionaire boyfriend calls off engagement

46 year old singer Mariah Carey and fiance Australian billionaire James Packer have reportedly called off their engagement.

Packer is said to have been the one who dropped the ax on the relationship, with his reason being “her new reality TV show and extravagant spending”.

Packer wasn’t prepared to have his entire life on a reality TV show, and allowed her to keep the $10-million ring he bought for their engagement.

TMZ sources say what may have been the deal breaker for Packer came when she had some sort of rendezvous with one of the dancers in her Vegas show ... something that is on video for the reality show.

James reportedly hated the reality show from the get-go and it became a major source of conflict.

“It’s all over,” one close family friend told Woman’s Day. “James had huge reservations about Mariah’s new reality TV show and the fact that she was willing to expose their lives to the world.”

There are also reports of tension between the award winning singer and the casino mogul’s family, claiming Packer’s mum didn’t like her.

Legendary Dancer "Kaffy'" Apologises, Explains Why She Called Out Davido

Legendary dance 'Kaffy' took to her Instagram page to appologise and explain why she called out Davido among other things.

She wrote;

I want to start by apologizing profusely for my profanity. It's not how I roll .i am one person who promote discipline and respect among dancers towards their clients and one another.
However this isssue is REAL. We MATTER and deserve respect as we have become part of the building block of the entertainment world.
We communicate with our bodies what words and sound can't express. We paint a picture that defies laws of nature ND produce masterpieces beyond mere imaginations.
It requires a lot of brain power to begin to be a dancer not to talk of the ability to command muscles people can't imagine using and that is still underrating the Power of the Art of Dance.
From youth empowerment to mind empowerment it is the least looked into form of psychological, physical and spiritual reformation.
And I can categorically tell u alot of lives have been changed for the better because we danced.
So WE MATTER. beyond the dance floor we matter against all odds of societal definition of success we matter, thrive and we rule.
So it is time we take control and have a voice. Create structure that will protect us from further disrespect and I will do all in my power to continue to protect dancers.I know great minds out there in our world that will rise up too. It's been years and I have been quiet for too long.
And this is not just in Africa it's everywhere.
Davido was just the last straw.it didn't start with him but we can put a stop.
Thank you to all who support this fight. God bless #Dancers #Dancetrepenuers
#Danceteachers #Dancelovers #Dancemoms
#Dancedads
#RESPECTHEDANCE

Getting people to like you is a talent - Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian insisted that "getting people to like you" is her talent as she sat down with Bill Whitaker for an interview on 60 Minutes.

In the chat that took place before she was robbed at gunpoint, the star gave an indepth look into her glamorous life and was quizzed on where her success is rooted.

"It is a talent to have a brand that's really successful off of getting people to like you for you," she said.
I would think that has to involve some kind of talent, you know?"
The mum-of-two, who has remained off all social media since the terrifying incident that saw thieves escape with millions of dollars worth of jewelleery more that two weeks ago, also attributed much of her success to social media.

Whitaker asked the reality star if her fame could exist without her presence online.

Kim replied: "Not in this way. I totally attribute my career to social media."

The 36-year-old also said the pros of living her life in the spotlight outweighed the cons.
"I do believe that the pros in my situation and my lifestyle have been more beneficial than the negative things."
And when Whittaker said, "You monetized the act of living," Kim agreed.

"Yeah. I guess so," Kanye's other half admitted.

The 22 year old British Nigerian graduate emerged as Face of Unity Nigeria in a keenly contested pageant held In Enugu state, the south-eastern part of Nigeria in 2013.

It is quite amazing to know that Chichi Mbagwu was born in Enugu state but left the country when she was just 7 months old and coincidentally returned to the state almost 20 years later to be crowned as Face Of Unity Nigeria Queen.

Her mother Ndidi Mbagwu, who totally supports her daughter in all she sets out to achieve, could not hide her joy. She had said back then about her beauty with brains daughter who made 1st class:

My Husband Doesn’t Allow Me Cook— Funke Akindele

Newly-married actress, Funke Akindele-Bello, talks about her acting career and her marriage experience.

As an actress, script writer and film producer, Funke Akindele-Bello can’t be considered a small fry in Nollywood. With a career that has spanned almost two decades, the thespian who cut her acting tooth with the role of Bisi, a curious but intelligent secondary school student in the United Nations Population Fund sponsored sitcom, I Need To Know , in the late nineties, has endeared herself to a legion of fans beyond the frontiers of Nigeria. She is also one of the few actresses who have thrived in the English and Yoruba genres of Nollywood.

Popularly known by her alter ego, Jenifa , a sobriquet she earned after the successful release of her hit film, Jenifa , and its sequel,
The Return of Jenifa , Akindele-Bello, is back to filming after taking a recess that lasted several months and during which she wedded musician, JJC Skillz, in London. She provides an insight into what she is up to presently. “I have been filming a new television series called In Da Streetz. It is about the entertainment industry and how people try to survive. It also dwells on the hustle and bustle in the ghetto. It would be full of glitz, glamour and it’s a production that has deep content,’’ she says.

The new project is not in any way similar to
Jenifa’s Dairy , and will feature big names in the entertainment industry, she reveals: “My new project is music-oriented, so I am working with people like K-Switch, Mo-Easy, Lydia Forson, Linda Ejiofor, Tina Mba, Kunle Coker, and Freeze of Cool FM. It is just a group of people coming together to do something different on television through Scene One Productions, where I am the CEO. My mission is for people to enjoy wholesome entertainment.”

After her first marriage to Kehinde Oloyede, crashed in 2013, the actress, recently got married a second time albeit secretly in London to entertainment guru, Abdul-Rasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz, last August. She says the latter who is a producer, music video director and artiste, fashioned the concept for her new project. “My husband is a pioneer in the music industry, so he has been there. He gave me the storyline and the synopsis which I developed and edited,” she states. The award-winning actress recalls that acting is something she’s always wanted to do from a young age. She started dancing and acting in primary school and also belonged to a cultural troupe. She joined a drama group while in secondary school and pursued her passion relentlessly even as an undergraduate.

A lawyer by training, she recollects how her father ensured she studied Law at the University of Lagos. “I recall that my father wanted me to study Law because he wanted me to become a lawyer. Even though he had his reservations about acting, I was undeterred,” she says.

Today, being celebrated and making some money out of acting is a plus for her as she says there is nothing more fulfilling than doing what she loves and getting paid for it. She stated, “I am grateful to God for the opportunities that have come my way as an actress. When I started out, it wasn’t easy and there were lots of challenges. I have been acting and producing films before I came out with Jenifa . The movie was a commercial success and following it up with
Jenifa’s Dairy , was a like an extension of the goodwill Jenifa , enjoyed.”

Although critics have argued that she didn’t need to create a series using the Jenifa cognomen, Akindele-Bello quipped that one of the lessons she has learnt in life is that people will say a lot of things and attempt to make you lose focus especially when they realise that you are making progress. “If you have an idea, sleep, eat and drink it until you make a reality of it. Jenifa is a brand that I love so much. I didn’t even want to come up with the series but I realised that a lot of people like the brand. When I go out, I speak to a lot of young people.

They like Funke quite alright but when I give them that variant of English, Jenifa is known for, the reaction is priceless,” she adds.
For her, producing Jenifa’s Dairy , has become a tiring effort: “I am tired of producing the series because it is time-consuming but my husband says that I cannot stop now because my fans love it, people are celebrating me, I have won awards and every day, they talk about me because they are not tired. People say it’s the best TV series, so I cannot stop.”
A recipient of several awards including the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role and the Nigeria Entertainment Award for Best Actress in 2009, as well as the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy in 2014 and 2016, she sees American film star, Tyler Perry, as someone that she looks up to. According to her, his Madea brand is huge and she hopes to build a bigger empire for herself .

What are the downsides of acting? With a huge sigh, she affirms that there have been times when she felt like throwing in the towel but some inspirational songs keep her going. “The gospel group, Mary Mary, inspires. Whenever I listen to their songs, I am inspired. One of their songs goes thus: ‘I just can’t give up now. I’ve come too far from where I started from, nobody told me that road is going to be easy.’ The song teaches me that good things don’t come easy, you just have to push. There are many times when they write about me in the newspapers and magazines. I just say to myself that it’s not their fault, it’s because I am acting. At such times, I want to quit acting but then, I look into the mirror and say to myself, you have it in you, don’t give up and bury your talents. This is why I use my talent as a tool to pass messages across to people,’’ she says.

Even though Akindele-Bello, refused to comment on her new marriage, she speaks about some of the changes that have occurred in her life since getting married. “Before I met my husband, I used to work on Sundays, but he always says that I need to rest. Our chef leaves on Saturday mornings to see his family, so whenever I want to cook, my husband tells me not to do so and we eat out. We do that very often. Now, I enjoy my life and I rest.’’

Akindele-Bello, who clocked 39 in August, said she wants to be remembered for her brand and the lives she has impacted. In addition, she desires to take a lot of young people off the streets. She says, “I have a not-for-profit organisation and I am going to be working with Lekki Coliseum, very soon to empower young people. I’ve done that a couple of times and we organise workshops and trainings. We give people start-up kits to begin their businesses. I am passionate about the empowerment of young people.

“I also want to set up another NGO to help people living with cancer. I have a friend who was diagnosed with stage-four cancer and she has given me the permission to talk about her journey. Many times when I was broke, I still had give her money to attend chemotherapy sessions. Because of the state of her health, she was unable to move around to seek funding. Thankfully, I am healthy and I can still work, so I am grateful to God for keeping her alive.’’

On her likes and dislikes, the thespian is quick to say that she likes frank and honest people. She abhors liars, those who steal and she cannot stand indiscipline as well.
Hear her: “People call me Margaret Thatcher, because I do not like indiscipline. You must not be rude, we are Nigerians and we have a culture and we are well-trained. I am Yoruba girl, so you have to be respectful. I always tell people that never believe that because you are made, you can bring people down. Even if you are up there, remain level-headed so you don’t fall,’’ she concluded.

These guys came into the industry way back in 2005 with "Omoge mi, oga police" . But little did people know that they came from nowhere before they got to where they are today.
Peter once worked as a supermarket attendant and Paul did some electrical repair for pay.
Now, their story is different, the two have their own houses abroad, go on boat cruises and enjoy the fine things that life can offer.

A Nigerian repond to Toke Makinwa's Vlog advice to young Nigerian girls

http://mrsnowgy.blogspot.com/2016/10/a-nigerian-repond-to-toke-makinwas-vlog.html
Some things are unforgivable.

They stir the dead in their graves, make eyes run rivers of tears and cause cardiac spasms.
One of such things has just made me suspend my Facebook holiday to let my pen bleed away the sorrow in my heart.

Here's my letter to Toke Makinwa, a Nigerian vlogger who recently advised the youths of my nation who happen to find themselves between the ages of 17 and 24, to do crazy things, kiss strangers, have one night stands, visit nightclubs, sleep till 12.00 noon and live off their parents.

Madam Toke, the only reason I have chosen to speak to you at this time is that you claim to be a church-goer and Jesus is a name that is not far from your parlance.

If you were a practising satanist, your words would have been consistent with your worldview and I would have no reason to be upset with you.
But, no Madam, you quote the bible with one corner of your lips and then speak perverse things with the other.
That is the definition of sacrilege.

Madam Toke, ours is a developing country with loads of challenges and roadblocks, a nation struggling in the deep recesses of poverty, disease, debt and unemployment.

Sanity should have told you that the youth in our country are in desperate need of knowledge, life-changing information, motivation and skills.
Perhaps it did, but you had no ears to listen.
So, you dedicated your vlog to the propagation of destructive nonsense.

Madam, as I watched you tell young people to live off their parents and uncles at age 24, my heart broke in two.

Toke, Mhairi Black, a 22 year old is a minister of parliament in Scotland.

A 19 year old, Malala Yousafzai, is a Nobel Laureate.

Mark Zuckerberg, at age 20, established the billion dollar social media platform largely from which the youths you are leading astray have accessed the rubbish you put out there.

Dr Ola Orekunrin at 21, graduated medical school and went ahead to establish West Africa's first air ambulance service: Flying doctors Nigeria.

Ibukun Awosika started her business at 26. I am certain she was not having one night stands between the ages of 17 and 24.

Shame on you, Madam!
The anaemia ravaging the body of the beautiful young woman I helped manage in South Eastern Nigeria, 7 years ago, would tell you that.
She had post-abortal sepsis, the result of a one-night stand!

Shame on you, Madam!
I am certain that the depression in the eyes of the 13 year old who came to my clinic in rural Nigeria, brutally raped by four 18 year olds would say that to your face.
Yes, the boys were doing crazy things!

Shame on you, Madam!
The hopelessness in the eyes of the lovely lady who asked me for directions to the HIV/AIDS clinic during my med school days will say that to you.
She most probably did kiss a stranger!

Okwa a kpoo ndi wu Nigerian youth role models, gi amakaputa?
SMH!

We do not need your demonic advice, Toke.

At 24, some of us had won international awards, chaired committees on issues plaguing Africa and sat down to dinner with the secretary-general of the United Nations.

At 24, we had published books, mentored younger ones, injected hope into their hearts, and made them have some faith in this failing Nigeria.

And at 24, were were virgins.
Yes, we were.

Malaria took nearly half a million lives last year alone, 90% of which were in Africa.
You will not motivate us to conduct research into this menace. Will you?

Fifty thousand Nigerian women perish at childbirth each year.
Ten million Nigerian children are out of school.
You do not care about these heart-tearing statistics. Do you?

Mba, you will rather advise the future of Africa's most populous nation to prostitute themselves and get drunk on alcohol till they pass out.

What a waste of an Internet platform!

Not only have you splattered purulent toxins around, Madam,
You have also violently opposed the 2nd verse of our National Anthem the words of which reveal the heartcry of our founding fathers.

"Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause. Guide our leaders right, help our youths the truth to know. In love and honesty to grow and living just and true. Great lofty heights attain to build a nation where peace and justice shall reign!"

I am crying, Madam.

Not only have you splattered purulent toxins around, you have committed sacrilege with your church-going, Jesus-mentioning tongue.

And I have just one scripture for you.

"Cursed be (s)he that maketh the blind (the young impressionable Nigerian youth) to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen."
(Deuteronomy 27:18)
