Two games, two goals. Granit Xhaka has done a pretty good job of proving that he’s ready to start week in, week out for Arsenal over the past few days.

His strike in the closing stages of the Gunners’ 4-1 over Hull was an emphatic way to announce himself to the Premier League - and he repeated that feat in the first half of Arsenal’s League Cup clash against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday. 
In what proved to be an excellent day at the office for Wenger's mix of fringe players and youngsters, Lucas Perez notched a terrific brace, with one coming from the penalty spot and another where he showed his brute strength to hold off the Forest defence. It was a crucial morale-booster for the Spanish forward, who struggled in his opening Premier League game.
Will Arsenal bring this brutality back to the premier league week in; week out is the thought on the fans mind after the classy display we have watched from them in their last 3 outings. Time will tell.
