mrsnowgysport : Manchester United disgraced by a superb Chelsea team

Chelsea produced a masterclass  display to ensure Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho's return to Stamford Bridge ended in a humbling 4-0 defeat. They played the match according to the script.
Mourinho's team, without captain Wayne Rooney due to injury, were stunned when Pedro rounded David de Gea to score the quickest goal in the Premier League this season after just 30 seconds, and Gary Cahill doubled the lead after 21 minutes.

United were behind before even touching the ball as Pedro latched onto Marcos Alonso's pass and rounded the needlessly onrushing De Gea to slot home in the first minute.
The hosts continued to play with greater intensity and, after Hazard drilled wide from 18 yards, their lead was doubled when the Belgian's right-wing corner ricocheted off Ander Herrera and sat up for Cahill to slam home from six yards.
N'Golo Kante then completed the rout with Chelsea's fourth on 70 minutes as the visitors capitulated.
I will call this a match that they will simply want to forget because they were humiliated beyond redemption.

mrsnowgysport : Chelsea vs Manchester United match preview

The home support will bellow Matthew Harding’s name before kick-off in memory of the Chelsea vice-chairman, who died in a helicopter crash 20 years ago, though it will be José Mourinho who will be hogging the limelight. This is his first return to Stamford Bridge as manager of a rival Premier League club and many of those players who under-performed so badly last term will line up against his Manchester United side. “He deserves a good reception,” said Antonio Conte. “He is part of the story of this club.” Some of those on the pitch may have their own points to prove to the Portuguese. Both players have something to play for and whoever wins this match would definitely enter the top 4 this weekend.

mrsnowgysport : Chelsea probable line up against Man United

Willian and Oscar returned from Brazil on Thursday morning after having both suffered family bereavements in the same week, but may not be ready to start the match with only two training sessions under their belts.

I don't think Conte will want to change his back three that has been doing well of late. The only contention is just whether Willian  will be in the right frame of mind after just losing his mom.

Mrsnowgys Sport: Chelsea beat West Ham 2-1 at Stamford Bridge

/2016/08/mrsnowgys-sport-chelsea-beat-west-ham-2.html

Diego Costa thrust himself back into the headlines with an 89th-minute winner as Chelsea edged West Ham United 2-1 in Antonio Conte’s first Premier League game as manager on Monday. Eden Hazard, symbol of Chelsea’s slump from champions to a 10th-place finish last season, opened the scoring at Stamford Bridge with a penalty early in the second half, before James Collins equalised in the 77th minute. Costa arguably should have been shown a second yellow card after catching West Ham goalkeeper Adrian with a late challenge, but he stayed on to steer a dramatic winner into the bottom-left corner from 20 yards. The bruising Spain striker’s goal capped a positive night for Conte, who handed a full debut to former Leicester City man N’Golo Kante and saw another debutant, substitute Michy Batshuayi, set up the winning strike. But it was a bitter defeat for West Ham manager Slaven Bilic, who lost debutant Andre Ayew to an apparent right thigh injury in the 34th minute. With both managers spending the entire match on the edge of their technical areas, suited and gesturing animatedly, the game was characterised by hasty, imprecise football and full-blooded tackling. Kante started at the base of midfield in the only change to the Chelsea team that started last season’s opening game — a 2-2 draw with Swansea City that gave the first hints of the rot that was about to set in. Bilic fielded two debutants in Ayew and left-back Arthur Masuaku, but the former was forced into a premature exit after injuring himself chasing after the elusive Hazard. The hosts’ high defensive line prevented West Ham bringing lone striker Andy Carroll into the game and the early chances were all Chelsea’s

Mrsnowgys Sport: Jose Mourinho takes jibes at Chelsea fans then apologizes to them

/2016/08/mrsnowgys-blog-jose-mourinho-takes.html

Jose Mourinho, new manager of Man. U has taken to Instagram to apologize to Chelsea fans after some Chelsea fans thought he was referring to them as camels on his son's Instagram page.

Jose Mourinho's son,  José Mario Mourinho Jr who is a goalkeeper for Fulham, played 45 minutes for Fulham Under-18s and they beat Chelsea Under-18s 2-1 on Saturday.

Mourinho’s son posted a picture of himself goalkeeping and captioned it: “Buzzin about today! Beat Chelsea 2-1, played second half, clean sheet, very proud, made a couple of great saves! #COYW”.

Chelsea fans angered by the 'lack of respect' by Mourinho's son then hurled abuses at the boy and also tagged Jose Mourinho. hurling abuses at him too.

Mourinho then came to his son's Instagram page and commented with a camel emoji, referring to the Chelsea supporters who were abusing him and his son.

As you can imagine, this sent Chelsea fans into overdrive and Jose Mourinho, then today commented on his son's page,  apologizing to fans of his former club. More of this will definitely still occur before the end of the season.

Antonio Conte says he can turn Chelsea's top players into Ballon d'Or contenders if they buy into his work ethic.
Conte is determined to restore Eden Hazard to the kind of form which carried Chelsea to the Premier League title in 2015 and earned the Belgium international both big player-of-the-year awards.
And Conte's message to Hazard and his team-mates is clear: 'Follow me, and I can take you to Lionel Messi's level'.

Gabriel Barbosa: Will he be the new Chelsea's poster boy

Gabriel Barbosa: Will he be the new Chelsea's poster boy

Meanwhile, Brazilian forward Gabriel Barbosa has also been linked with a switch to West London. The 19-year-old, who currently plays for Santos in his homeland, will line up for his country at this summer’s Olympics and is seen as one of South America’s highest-rated emerging youngsters.

Commonly referred to by his nickname – Gabigol – there has been reports that the player has declared his interest in a move to Chelsea, although Juventus have already made their move for the prodigy. The report suggests that the Blues have made a bid of £25 million in an attempt to lure the player to Stamford Bridge, but Barbosa’s current employers also remain confident that they can persuade him to stay.
Barbosa was a member of Brazil’s Copa America squad this summer, scoring once in a 7-1 demolition of Haiti, and may feel like a move to Europe is the next logical step in his progression as a player. A move to Chelsea would see him join fellow Brazilians Oscar, Willian, Kenedy, and the chance to learn and train alongside his compatriots may ultimately work in Chelsea’s favour during negotiations.

Chelsea: Kante switch to Chelsea almost a done deal

Chelsea: Kante switch to Chelsea almost a done deal

Antonio Conte will face the press for the first time as Chelsea manager this afternoon. As was the case during Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola's first press conferences, Conte will undoubtedly be asked who his main targets are during this transfer window. Although he will likely be coy on the matter, the former Italy manager does already appear to have a number of targets in mind for his new-look Chelsea side.
Over the past few days it has emerged that one of these targets is Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante. Reports in France are today claiming that Chelsea have tabled a £29 million bid for the midfielder and are hoping for some progress on the deal over the course of the weekend. It is claimed that senior figures at Leicester are now considering the offer from their pre-season training camp in Austria.

The 25-year-old was a crucial component of the Foxes title-winning side and they will not allow him to leave easily. However, it is looking likely that Kante will join one of Europe’s top clubs this summer, something which former Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele has also encouraged him to do. The Blues are likely to face competition for the player’s signature, with Real Madrid and Chinese club Shanghai SIPG also apparently interested.
Conte’s job is made harder by the fact that Chelsea failed to qualify for Europe this season. This will obviously make it more difficult for him to attract the continent’s best players, but the Italian will hope that Kante looks beyond this season and focuses on the potential of a long-term future at Stamford Bridge when making his decision.
