1. HEALTHY DIET

Healthy eating is not about strict dietary limitations. 2. EXERCISE FOR NORMAL BODY WEIGHT

3. REDUCE SUN LIGHT EXPOSURE

There is a link between too much sun exposure and cancer. Ultraviolet (UV) radiation comes from the sun and man-made sources.  Exposure to sun causes most of the wrinkles and age spots on our faces. UVA ray makes up most of our natural sun light. It goes deeper into the skin and causes skin ageing.
Skin cancer is the most prevalent form of all cancers. UVB ray is most likely to burn the skin and is the main cause of non melanoma skin cancer. It is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal skin cells. Left untreated, it can spread to other organs and is difficult to control.

4. AVOID ALCOHOL

There is no doubt that alcohol can cause seven types of cancer.  It is likely that different cancers are caused in different ways. In our bodies, alcohol (ethanol) is converted into a toxic chemical called acetaldehyde. It can cause cancer by damaging DNA. Alcohol can increase the levels of some hormones, such as oestrogen. Unusually high levels of oestrogen increase the risk of breast cancer.
Drinking lots of alcohol can damage the cells of the liver, causing a disease called cirrhosis. 3.6% of all cancer cases and 3.5% of cancer deaths worldwide are attributable to consumption of alcohol. Drinking and smoking together are even worse for you.

5. STOP SMOKING

The links between smoking and cancer are now very clear. Death from cancer is very high and most of this from cancer caused by smoking.  Smoking is by far the most important preventable cause of cancer in the world. Smoking causes more than four in five cases of lung cancer.
Smoking also increases the risk of at least 13 other cancers including cancers of the bladder, pancreas, kidney, liver, stomach, bowel, cervix, ovary, nose and sinus, larynx (voice box), oesophagus (gullet),mouth and pharynx (throat) and some types of leukaemia.
